“THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING WEBSITE I’VE EVER COME ACROSS.
IT REDEFINES ALL OTHER WEBSITES, AND MAKES THE EFFORTS OF THE PEOPLE BEHIND THOSE WEBSITES LOOK POINTLESS AND RIDICULOUS.
IT’S MY FAVOURITE WEBSITE OF ALL TIME.”
Adam Buxton, 2010
Hello.
You’ve found my website.
Well done. I’d like to think it’s because you meant to, but chances are that you’re looking for the underwear model of the same name. He is also called Ben Kirby. But he is not me. Depressingly, it’s this jerk who pouts all over your screen if you Google my name. He’s the more famous Ben Kirby out of the two of us. For now.
Anyway, this isn’t a site dedicated to male modelling. It is instead one full of my ramblings in the form of blogs, film reviews and, occasionally, interviews with vaguely famous people like Clive Anderson…
Christopher Hitchens…
Adam Buxton…
Sylvester Stallone…
Fyfe Dangerfield…
Armando Iannucci…
Rian Johnson…

In case he doesn’t look familiar, he’s a big Hollywood director type man. And I’ve realised that so far we’ve had seven very big pictures of the male gender. It’s starting to look like some weird site dedicated to middle-aged, slightly podgy men. Anyway, Rian Jonson is great and very nice too. He’s directed two very good films called Brick -

[LOOK! SOME FEMALES!] – which is all indie and clever and noir and stuff, and the more entertaining Brothers Bloom.

Adrien Brody and Rachel Weisz both look delighted because they’ve just stumbled upon my highly complementary review, to be found under the film bit of the reviews section.
Mark Ruffalo has found Ultra Culture’s opinion of the film:

He’s less happy.
Also, I’m not sure why I just gave you the link to a far superior bloggy type site. Please stay with this inferior and smaller website instead. Make it your homepage and tell people about it wherever you go. Then when I make it big, you can say, ‘Oh yeah, I knew about that guy way before he was famous and married to Ellen Page.’
If you’re still reading – and I’m not sure why you would be when there are so many witty and intelligent and eloquent reviews and blog entries to trawl through – then let me finally draw your attention to the drawing banner thing at the top. Isn’t it lovely? It was done by a man called Gaz Roberts. Well done Gaz.
Well done for getting to the bottom of the page. Now go forth and read things. And leave comments if you like.
